Travel airplane buddies– before the turbulence…
With my best friend photographer excited to land in Cuba
Next day we headed bright and early to the beach. We had more than 30 church members from Cienfuegos come with us. We ALL were not allowed in the touristy parts, however we finally settled in a less “touristy” beach. We had a blast!
Ancon Trinidad, Cuba aka PARADISE!
Claudia, Betty and I sharing our experiences on what the Lord has been doing in our lives. We shared in our sadness and joy as sisters in Christ.
The chefs, who are a couple, of Cienfuegos Church asked me to take a photo.
I spent an incredible amount of time with this beautiful child of the Lord. I prayed with her, laughed with her and ministered to her.
Three beautiful Californian girls’ first mission trip! Extradorinary and very talented young ladies who I had the pleasure of meeting and ministering to them.
Basically how we sisters spent our days in Cuba squinting and laughing!
Streets of Trinidad, Cuba
The team! (not all of us)
This woman, Shara, is a woman of faith. Every time I spoke with her, her flame was constantly lit! And she’s Ecuadorian!
After I took this shot, the horse made a loud noise and scared me! Haha!
Our first dinner in Cienfuegos, Cuba
Exhausted but hungry! Rice and beans, anyone?
At a restaurant in Trinidad. One of the missionaries had a lobster dish with rice and it was the best lobster ever!
Sunday Service at Cienfuegos Church- The poster at the top was youth week’s theme. Right before I went to the trip, my pastor in NJ gave a preaching about those verses… Never a coincidence when God’s speaking. “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.- 2 Peter 3-11
First day of VBS we got up and taught the children the main songs! By the end of VBS we were drenched, in sweat of course!
I had the honor of teaching Missions to the children. The Lord provided puppets and brought these little guys to Cuba and the people in the photo were the characters they impersonated. Some had to get out of their comfort zone, ah, but they did such an awesome job!
Alejandro, Milka and Lauren did such an great job with the puppets!
The children could not possibly fit in this tiny room! At one point I had 63 9-12 year olds! Whaaa! It was awesome!
Here is the music team which lead all the children into worship. They did an amazing job always joyful!
We had a lotta people here!!!!
Practicing the songs and movements— I absolutely loved this theme of TRUSTING GOD IN UNKNOWN TERRITORY. It personally spoke to me saying, “Michelle, I, God, will guide you. It’s going to get icky, uncomfortable but trust me, my daughter, it’s for the best.”
Decorating the rooms for VBS!!! Woohoo!!
A few sisters I bonded with during VBS.
